Photography Workshop Rates
Typical structures and offerings are listed here for adults, youths and groups.
One size fits all is not a part of my business philosophy.
All instruction can be tailored to suit your specific needs, within reason. As an example, it is not an option to schedule a two hour darkroom workshop as a minimum of 3 hours is required.
The same rates apply to all workshops: Digital Photography, Film Photography, Darkroom Instruction, Videography for beginners, Mobile/iPhone Photography.
Did you know that I can offer online sessions upon request?
Theory and class portions of instruction packages can occur in public spaces such as libraries, coffee shops or at your home.
I reserve the right to require a few safety measures prior to home visits. Workshops happen rain or shine but can be postponed in case of severe weather conditions.
Offering accessible and affordable rates is important to me.

Rates are applicable to the Greater Victoria Area only. Travel fees apply for any other destinations.

If you'd prefer to have some time to process the content and really optimize your learning experience, then consider booking two separate sessions of two hours.

I recommend students take 1 to 2 weeks in between their sessions to allow for some practice. When we meet again for your second session, you'll have gained some confidence
and have questions for me.

TWO HOUR CLASSES
A two hour class can be a good option if you're familiar with technical basics and your camera. You'd like to explore a particular creative or technical topic, receive feedback on your work and/or elevate your skills and knowledge.

Send me up to 15 of your best images via a shared folder and I'll send you a detailed written evaluation. I'll objectively critique your images individually and highlight both your strengths and areas where improvement should be made, in clear terms. I'll be very specific and give you clear directions on how to start implementing new ideas that can enhance the
quality of your portfolio.
This is a one time evaluation and does not include any follow up interactions. You can use this service more than once.

You provide your own SD card.
Classes can occur at your home or in a public space such as library. Outings must always occur in family friendly areas with washrooms and cell service.
Release forms are mandatory for ALL youth classes and/or outings. Youths are never left unsupervised and must be dropped off/picked up by an approved adult.
All services are customizable. Always available in French too!

This format is recommended for youths aged 13-17

INTRODUCTION TO FRENCH AND PHOTOGRAPHY
This is a custom program I've built over the years for individual families. It's simple: I introduce children to the French language, conversation and vocabulary through the practice pf photography. We create a scrapbook together with their photos and the images serve as a visual tool to process the language.
Kids learn best when they are engaged in a hands-on activity that's fun and rewarding!
