Young humans are inherently creative, that's why! At a younger age, we aren't yet bound by the constraints of societal norms and pressures, we are free thinkers, natural artists, eager and in awe of everything. As the years add up, the majority of us will tend to withdraw from our creative self. We shift into productive mode, we are providers and workers. We have responsibilities.

As someone who's never let go of my camera, I am most grateful to Photography for keeping me young at heart. The practice of Photography feeds my creative inner child with countless opportunities to marvel. Like a child, I lose all sense of time and find myself totally anchored in the now. What a treat that is!
During my Photography classes with kids, I am often taken aback by the things they notice and that I, the teacher, missed. They have no problem sprawling across a patch of dirt just to get that perfect shot. They have a fresh outlook on their surroundings and a natural eye for unique angles and perspectives. They instinctively know to use props around them to create more interest in a scene. They learn fast and progress even faster.
Giving the gift of Photography to a young human has so many benefits. It's a confidence builder, it encourages self reliance and a respect for all living things.
It is truly an art form they can carry throughout their entire lives.
Most of all, photography can offer them the gift of everlasting youth and wonder!
